If the trailer for 2019's 'Dancing on Ice' is any indication - ITV will be re-using part of last year's presentation:

The "Christmas 2018 on BBC television" press release shows a picture of a bloke dressed as Santa, ringing a bell and driving his sleigh while people look on. I reckon this is going to be BBC One's Christmas ident (or at least one of them). If so, it looks like it's not going to be a patch on last year's package.

Looks like a screenshot from Call the Midwife to me.

Yes, I think you could be right. I never watch CTM so wouldn't have known that. Just thought it might have been the ident, given the fact that the image was at the top of the page. Just me jumping to the wrong conclusion then!!

Though the same image comes under the headline of Call The Midwife in the BBC One section.

So it does. I'm officially TV Forum's Plonker Of The Week.

The image no longer appears at the top of the page now. At least it doesn't for me anyway. The BBC are watching us... Shocked

Just checked now. It still appears to be there.

You're on the BBC One highlights page there. You need to click on the link "Christmas 2018 on BBC Television" which is the one directly under "Media packs".

Ah. I saw Square Eyes link and thought that was the page that you were referring to.

Fancy sharing that Plonker Of The Week accolade?

Now that really would have been hilarious!! The Santa doesn't even have his beard on properly.

There's no indication of what they are doing yet - for BBC Radio they have an image of baubles and a little bit of Christmas tree but I don't think it's an indication of the idents.
