Central Theme Music

After hearing the two Central themes at ATV CENTRAL WEBPAGE, I would like to know who the composer of the two pieces is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Central music is called CENTRAL TELEVISION THEME, it was composed by Bennett / Stokoe / Moran and published through ITC Filmscores, latterly Zomba Music.

Are you really from Granada, Greg?

Is that the original 1982 theme being mentioned there? Do you have info on subsequent themes - e.g. the package used for the 1988-1994 presentation sets? I must admit, although the arrangement of the 1994 'textures' music sounds a little cheap and 'synthy', I can't get it out of my head. Especially as I taped a long version of it when there was a temporary fault on Central!! (of which TV-Ark has a copy, named 'Centerama')

By the was the TVS Theme is called The New Forest... typical I've forgotten now.

I was referring to the original Central theme. Later packages were, in the main, library material from Bruton and latterly Music House.

Yes, that's where I discovered the name. Unfotunatly I only typed The New Forest on my site - but of course the tune was used for much more than just Start-up. See it on Totally TVS - 1 week to go...
