CBS fined over Janet Jacksons nipple

Mainstream USTV is very reserved, especialyl regard to nudity - you won't even a naked bottom.

Why? Are American's bottoms so uneven?

Sorry, couldn't resist it! Seriously, though, I mean, it was just a mistake. How can CBS be fined that much, Janet Jackson's "thing" just fell out of it's clothing! It was purely a simple mistake.

It wasn't an accident, it was a hopelessly misjudged publicity stunt by either Jackson alone, or more likely Timberlake and Jackson together.

American broadcasting has alway been a paradox; with shocking violence and extraordinary prudishness going hand in glove.

But if *we* know that from across the pond, Jackson and Timberlake should certainly have known that this was ill-advised.

Mind you there were 2 tits in full view on that stage, Janets right one..... and Justin Timberlake

It's pretty hilarious really and just makes me glad I'm not subject to american TV on a regular basis. That is an incredible amount of money for just one nipple, yes in this country time of day does have something to do with it, but I very much doubt a fine of this order would be imposed, if one at all!
