Regarding the new 2001 graphics and titles. They were still using the re-launch titles and stings mid June, i have a episode dated 15th June 2001 on tape and by then the new clock had been introduced but they were still using the 2001 relaunch titles and stings.

I remember the first Bigger Breakfast in May half term week 1997. The full-length opening titles had a longer version of the brand new guitar theme (launched that day) which took a while to build and was never heard again. Then for the rest of that week, the 1996 revamp theme music was used with the opening titles with the new guitar theme in and out of breaks. (Can't remember what theme was used at the end of the show.) The week after, when the show returned to the house following the Bigger Breakfast week of OBs, the short opening titles launched with a short version of the guitar theme.

Found some more episodes from 2001 in a box on VHS this afternoon and something i noticed was the fourth wall in the kitchen, if you look closely at the end in this clip it seems to have some mural on it. Did it always have a mural or was that added after the April 2001 re-launch?

I remember that there was an episode where a guy was painting the mural onto that wall, it was similar to the one that went around the pool - maybe the same people?

I don't want to keep taking attention away from the main mock it's self, I'm surprised the general discussion of the show hasn't been split yet!

But here's a few rare occasions when the Friday Song has been performed by someone else besides the main man Harry:

So in that second clip Samantha Robson (who Google tells me was an actress from The Bill at the time) guest hosting. Didn't really think they had guest hosts in the final couple of years as the show had got to a point where they pretty much had regular stand ins. Is it possible then she was the last ever actual guest host?

Ugh, Richard Bacon has annoyed me in every clip I've seen of him in the BB lately.

Amanda Byram's BB show-reel is on Youtube and it shows her guest presenting with a clip of some Irish chap.

Chris Moyles did a few stints as guest host in the show's final months as well. It'll have been around the time he was also the presenter of the pilot for the "new" BB that Planet 24 was pitching to Channel 4. (Obviously that was unsuccessful and we ended up with RI:SE version 1.) I'd love to see that pilot and what was planned to take the BB forward.

Samantha Robson guest hosted twice, she re-appeared a fortnight later after that second clip presenting with Mike McClean and Richard Bacon which was shortly after 9/11 which was also the same week the friday song disappeared from the show.

Does anybody remember how the show acted after 9/11? Obviously with the time it happened over here, they would have been able to construct a show with less of a party atmosphere as usual.

I remember seeing Samantha Robson an thought that she a brilliant job and worked well with the presenters.
