That happened at 18.00 GMT yesterday - it sounded MUCH more professional than the N24 version, but they restarted the 'dur-dur-dur-dur' for the headlines rather than having thunder-claps. I do prefer the introduction to the N24 overnight bed though - much more punchy!!

Yes it's about the Euro .. AGAIN! It's coming from the World gallery so the astons are squashing over the N24 clock!
EDIT: are these World Business Report astons? (I'm not an avid viewer of WBR!)

It was indeed on the Euro, they are modified WBR astons, my capture missed the very beginning but we got the four beeps twice, once on the hour and again when she said 'the headlines', and you can watch (most of) it at:

Why aren't BBC World's astons where BBC News 24's are? I specifically mean the 'info' aston as its bottom does not line up with the News 24 clock!
MA
Later in the Special when Philipa was introducing somene she was interviewing she couldnt stop coughing just like Jeremy Paxman that time on Newsnight and even throught the interview she kept doing it.

5pm: BBC News special (again) but this time they used the BBC World headline bed - the proper one, none of that overnight stuff! Capture coming soon...

BBC WORLD doesnt have a clock you see, and because they broadcast mainly in 14:9 or 4:3 NTSC format, the strap is slightly nearer the bottom as it looks more pleasing to the eye.
HA
The positioning of World's captions are exactly the same as News 24's, the reason could be that BBC News 24 are taking a clean World feed, but there is probably something not right about that feed, that causes the World captions to appear lower!

They don't appear to be lower - they are lower. Check it out on programmes from BBC World studio like TWT and the 9.35am World Feed. The bottom of the aston does not line up with the bottom of the clock!

Physically from each gallery, the Astons are in exactly the same place. The reason Worlds Astons are lower in frame when broadcast on N24 is because of timing - they're 4 lines lower in frame than they are meant to be when shown on N24
