So, unfortuantely, I have to be up early this morning. Anyway, a quick glance through the channels and I noted that around 5.30, the Learning Zone was meant to be showing Bitesize Revision on Macbeth. Instead, this was on the screen:

It's be on now for the last 10 minutes or so.. Oh actually. it's just abruptly cut back to the programme. I can tell a lot of teachers up and down the country will be pulling their hair out when they settle down and play this back to their class. Smile

Yeah, this appeared once before - on BBC Knowledge i think it was, and it had the BBC ONE balloon background to it... It was on TheTVRoom a while back....

Not sure which channel this one's meant to be for though... it does look like a BBC TWO background, but it has swirls in it....

The promo playout is a sequence of the following day's trailers (promotions) played out to Glasgow, Belfast and Cardiff. It's done every night and obviously shouldn't go to air on BBC TWO or any network for that matter ! Clearly a switching error somewhere that put the wrong suite to air on BBC TWO ...

It's CBBC's "bug" background. Cbeebies is the same, but with smaller "bugs" on the backdrop.

It's irrelevant what background it is, it's just a caption for internal use not relating to any channel

I'm wondering if it is for the CBBC Channel when they begin to show the looped promo around 6 before programmes start at 7.

Isn't it quite amazing that despite the fact that someone has already stated EXACTLY what this is for, less informed people still guess.

Person 1: "What day is it?"
Person 2: "Thursday".
Person 3: "Perhaps it's Sunday".
