I would like to add a comment if I may.
How interesting, the number of people who feel the need to 'trash' a show, before its even been shown on ITV !
Give the kids a chance, we all like different things in life, these kids are good at what they have chosen to do, just like Beckham is good at what he does.
Lets watch it first eh?

You don't need to burn yourself to know setting yourself on fire isn't a good idea.

You don't need to watch this to know it's going to be a pile of sh!t.

Good grief, such venom in your reply. I would hope that nobody ever judges you before hearing you out !
If you feel so strongly, don't watch it, better still don't comment, find something better to do with your time.
Lets hope that should you have children now or in the future, that other 'adults' do not criticise them, particularly when it is not constructive criticism.
If you have a problem with it, you should address the TV stations and producers, these kids are doing what they love and clearly what they are talented in, its the TV thats giving the medium to display it.
We all know these things are heavily edited etc so we will never know the true picture of the event will we?

This thread is'nt criticizing the children, just the premis of the show, mainly as it is another Stictly Come Dancing Rip-Off I'd imagine.
I take it your one of the pushy perents, who's kids are on this show?

BTW The whole idea of TV Forum is to disscuss whats good and bad and what ideas we think will be good and bad in terms of television.

How sad!!!

I knew there would be a small minded group out there....just found them.

At least these children have drive, are fit ,know how to conduct themselves in public and private.

Oh and can spell !!!!

Well I can at least speak for my child that's what I am doing as he has already achieved 4 academic scholarships for Private schools.

I am not speaking for all children,as to judge , speak for or about others is wrong...

especially children and some of the comments that have been written about them on here are shocking...

I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. I will tell you what tends to disturb me about talent shows like this and It's the pushy parents.

Yes. On internet fora, a good grasp of basic grammar and sentence construction is always a pleasure to see, as well as good spelling.

Anything that has little girls and boys tarted up and not being like normal children is disturbing, pushy parents or not.

Sounds like it should be tamed down abit and put on one of the childrens channels for kids instead. I caught a bit of the Sorcerors apprentice on CBBC the other day. That's actually quite good. It seems it's been given primetime slot because the kids are off school for the summer. A slot filler between Parents argueing how to fire up the barbie and finally getting a hotdog before it rains again.

I will give it the benefit of the doubt but to be honest i doubt i will watch it more than once.

It sounds like one of your kids is on it and I apologise if it seemed I was belitting them.

However, this is a TV disscusion board and I think the programe sounds horrendous, not your kids.

We are not pushy parents, we are guiding them and helping them after all they are under 18. We do not send them to the Doctor or Dentist or indeed let them hang around street corners.....on their own. They can not drive, have a job have to go to school and last time a checked still could not vote. It is therefore my job to help and protect him., always from men who seem to call him names. I am sure there is a lot wrong with grown men sitting on the internet calling children names.

Get lives get a hobby get fit !

There were personal comments made about the children from this show. If protecting my child means I am pushy then Yes then I am pushy.

Neither my child or myself are unfit or big mouthed!!!

I WILL ALWAYS PUT MY SON FIRST IN EVERY DECISION if that makes me bad and pushy by your personal standards then I love being pushy. He will dance and have the best education becuase he is driven and has high morales and standards, he would not judge, call others names just because they have different hobbies or viewpoints to his own and he certainly would not be personal. He will learn to grow up to be the bigger man.
Maybe some of you here should learn how to dance if you have respect for your dance partner and trust in them, you may be able to respect yourselves more. Walk into a room and people notice you have self confidence, control and dignity. Rather than having to open your mouths first before you are noticed and not always for the right reasons..
