Another thread appearing

I was following the Ronald Reagan thread, and I believe that the only reason it was closed was that one of the moderators was losing the argument. True, he was losing the argument, but would it have been closed if he hadn't been involved in the thread. No.

This is a case of a moderator selectively using his powers to his own advantage.

I propose that moderators are not allowed to close threads they are directly involved with.

Look, for God's sake - I didn't close it to my advantage. I had wanted to close it all afternoon, and I watched it get more and more political, then decided to close it. If you read the rules, the moderators' decisions are final, so just accept my decision. I've tried to reason with c@t, and quite frankly, I'm finding the behaviour of some members pathetic. Talk about me having a tantrum!

If you have a problem with my decision, please take it up privately with Asa, not in public on the forum.
