Who was that bloke 'Dan' on tonight who'd been on loads of programmes, before, including acting in a soap?

He used to be in Brookside in the early 90s, cant remember his name now.

Danny McCall - he also featured briefly on Terry and Gaby as a roving reporter.

That's the one. How badly is his career going if he has to appear on a talent show!?

Just like Andy Scott-Lee did on Pop Idol last year!!!!!!!!!!!

Andy Scott Lee got down to the final 5 or 6 on Pop Idol though didnt he, Owan?

Well next week each group will be down to 3, and then the following week the live shows will start. I wonder what time this show will go out, I cant see them moving Ant and Dec from 7pm so will X Factor Live show go out at 6pm with results after Millionaire at about 9pm?

The initial run of Parky is supposed to be 8 weeks - so that should be over soon.

The results show could be anything from 15 to 30 minutes, so air as late as 9.45pm, meaning X Factor and Takeaway would air from around 6.30pm, with Millionaire at 8.45pm.

I read on Digital Spy that ITV did VERY well in the ratings last night, im not suprised as they have a very good line up with 2 x X Factor, Takeway and Parky.

Didnt realise Parky was only on for 8 weeks, I suppose they might extend it as its been popular. If its not on then I guess the schedule could be this;

2.55pm Corrie Omnibus
5.10pm Regional News
5.25pm ITV Weekend News
5.55pm YBF
6.25pm Takeaway
7.30pm X Factor
8.30pm WWTBAM
9.30pm X Factor
10.00pm ITV Weekend News
10.15pm Film

Firstly the XFactor I think is just amazing. So much better than those Pop Idol drival versions.

Anyhoo I take it this Andy geezer is the one who's made Terry Cry , whos dad is paralysed etc. Was quite a good song he did.

Something that has surprised me is the ex-One True Voice singer didn't get through, nor was any of his auditions been shown on the show. However I do recall Sharon saying she didn't want him in her group and would put him out... surely that's a little harsh - okay he's had his 15mins... but if he can sing?

To confirm - Andy Steed is the bloke who made Terry cry!

Great quote from Sharon last night:
Quote:
Your talented.
Your sophisticated.
Your not right for this competition.

On an additional note I REALLY want the crazy black woman in Simons group to win because I love her voice.

And to balance it out. In Louis group I want the opera style group to win.

So for a laugh that's;
Sharon = Andy
Louis = G4
Simon = Crazy black woman

According to today's Daily Mirror Andy Steed doesnt get into the last 3 (of each genre) oops!

Final 9 next week, that should be good, on the Paul O'Grady show, Simon said that they filmed different endings (a bit like a soap) coz they knew it would leak out to the press, and today in the mirror, they had the supposed final 9, but simon said we were going to be shocked, so I doubt that the 9 in the mirror will be the final 9. But i love Rowetta, she's MAD! And mancunian!!!!!!!

Criminal if Andy Steed hasn't got through.

Louis Walsh on This Morning said the final 9 won't be known for sure until the end of Saturdays show (is it back at 6pm, or in the better 9pm slot?), but I think he's just trying to get people to watch.

However, it be good if they let viewers vote one of the six dropped at the last hurdle back in.

Also, the final is on Decemeber 1st.
