I love how Absolute Power use mocked up programmes such as News 24 etc. Just had some superb use of the Liquid News set, and a mocked-up Newsnight set, with quite a nice desk.

Interesting Australian accent by Angus Deayton too.

I was wondering if I was the only person appreciating this brilliant show.

I only saw it for the first time last week, but it's great!

They do make brilliant use of recent and relistic real-world examples.

E.G. Celebdaq reference when refering to minister who'd taken out gagging order.

Steven Fry is perfect for the part, not sure I want to see him pi$$ing again though Laughing

Very good. Wasn't as good when it was on Radio 4, oddly enough. The switch to telly has served it well.

I actually thought that was the real Newsnight set - but of course the desk wasn't right now I remember...

Interesting that the discussion programme the Stephen Fry character was on, had both an email address @bbc.co.uk AND ad-breaks!

It could have been a trail, a sting or a report.

Just because the presenter said "we're back after this" (or words to that effect) it doesn't mean it was an advert break...
