1 - I'm a bit upset at losing UKTV Gold
2 - What will happen to Television X and Red Hot?
3 - Maybe this would be a good opportunity to bring back M&M? Or something else like Reality TV or one of the FreeSat movie channels? How about ESPN Classic?
4 - AFAIK ABC1 own the entire 24-hour stream - they just rented 7pm - 5am out to TopUpTV for TCM.

Isn't Red Hot part of Freeview anyway? AIUI the way to buy Red Hot nightly is the same used for Setanta.

AIUI TCM does own the slot from 7pm to 5am on that channel, it was just their choice to distribute the channel via Top Up TV rather than Freeview.

Though with the space being freed up, I'm sure most of us would rather see a 24 hour ABC1, and a 24 hour TCM, dependent on whether Turner would allow the channel to go FTV.

Pardon my ignorance (I've no interest in either service), but how does that work without a card-slot?

You text or call a number and get a pin code, which you then enter onto screen.

Re: ABC1 - if the porn channels remain, I could see ABC1 just taking a 6am-11pm slot, which would take it through primetime and probably be enough really.

Must admit I haven't watched it in ages - they just seem to be stuck in the same old repeat loop, and also ditched alot of their drama for more comedy!

ABC1 is more like a comdey channel. May ABC could do ABC2 for drama and movies.

There's no need for "ABC2" at this time IMO as I get the feeling Disney would rather pay the extra money to get the extra hours for ABC1 on Freeview as and when the opportunity arises before considering a second channel.

Most of the ABC1 drama seems to have been dumped in the 9pm slot, repeated about four hours later and at airing some more at some ungodly hour in the morning.

five US sounds like a great channel.
Could be as good as e4 and SKY one and ABC1
