I have lived in the US and the UK. I have IPTV and am a self confessed 'news freak'. I consume way too much news. I stand by what I have written, though take on board what you've contributed to this discussion.
In saying that - the conversation was not about bias - it was about ratings and where viewers are going to get their news. CNN have benefitted (no, I won't use that B word again) big time. The writing is on the wall.
I'll just leave this droplet here. Sean Hannity is a 'host', he's not a journalist, he was never awarded any qualifications, he's a friend of #45, nothing more, nothing less. The JOURNALISTS at Fox News have fled.
And to suggest that CNN and MSNBC aren't as biased as Fox News is, having watched all three extensively over the last few weeks, is laughable.

A Fox News journalist - right ... let me think .... The closest ones I can regard as proper journalists, who have not sold their soul 100% to the Republican Party in 2020 is Chris Wallace and Bret Baier. Am I wrong?
I do love watching Fox and Friends - it is the best comedy show for anyone just waking up in the morning and feeling depressed, just switch the three idiots on and you are laughing within minutes at their hypocrisy and stupidity, along with constant lick lick, fawn fawn of President Trump who seems to have a dedicated phone line to their studio.
Greg Gutfeld who is part of the revolting "The Five" program is a pure out and out fake. Penn Jillette from Penn and Teller said he knows Greg, and knows the version of Greg shown on "The Five" is an act, a persona, and he knows Greg is simply putting on the right wing BS for his large pay check which currently stands at $7 million from Fox News.
And to suggest that CNN and MSNBC aren't as biased as Fox News is, having watched all three extensively over the last few weeks, is laughable.

I suppose it makes Gutfeld an actor/performer?
As for F&F, the two male presenters have been performing the same act for over 20 years of which Doocy's son is also a reporter on the channel (a nice bit of nepotism in the mix), while the weekend presenters are just as excruciating.

Your argument is nonsense.
Why do you think #45 won’t appear on either channel?
Both channels report NEWS, not pedal crap! FOX news as defined by many many studies is #45’s soapbox. If you view CNN and MSNBC as bias you are seriously misinformed.

MSNBC in particular is biased towards the Democratic Party. If you can't see beyond your own political bias, then what's the point?

I’m not sure you warrant a response either, BUT, the channel you mention reports NEWS. Fox does not!
Swallow it, but don’t choke!

Let’s not get into politics here.
Obviously personal bias will change your perspective on things, but the general consensus is that channels such as CNN and MSNBC cater to a more ‘liberal’ (in US terms)/Democrat audience, whilst Fox News caters to a more ‘conservative’/Republican audience. Of course, there are presenters on both (e.g. Chris Wallace) who do seem to be a little more balanced.
Also depends on the show - ‘MSNBC Live’ (essentially a rolling news show) is seen as more balanced than ‘The Rachel Maddow Show’.

broadly true, but Fox does more than 'cater', it was set up as a Republican political outfit by Roger Ailes under the guise of being a 'fair and balanced' news channel. It's taken a step further since his death with the prime time opinion stars given free reign.
MSNBC has become pro-Democratic as a belated business decision but it's gone through various guises, including hiring right wing hosts to compete with Fox (and fail). They did go through a period of making the entire day progressive opinion but that bombed so they turned that into rolling news to compete with CNN more effectively in the daytime.
Ultimately all of those US news channels (and talking heads) have benefited hugely from Trump commercially and audience wise.

I heard John Sopel being interviewed for the Media Masters Podcast recently. On that predicts that if he leave office in January there will be massive job losses across the American news media as his administration generates so much news and conversation.
As much as they've tried to normalise the current situation, it's not normal for a president or White House to be like this

Plenty of stuff going on outside of America to report on, but hey....
