Have you ever noticed that sometimes at the end of a news bulletin a newsreader will take a drink of water ( hope its not vodka or something! ). Saima Mohsin of BBC Points West seems to do this at the end of each bulletin !

Why do they do this ? Is it because they are thirsty or are they just trying to connect with the viewer i.e trying to show their human side ?

Yes. They used to have them clipping their toenails but that all finished when Sue Lawley couldn't get her stockings off before the weather started.

It was pandemonium.

Well if you are reading something for a while your voice might get sore! Some newsreaders might not drink during a programe cos if it spills! Bi-z-bi!! Everything could get wet. That is my theory!!

My God, some people ask some utterly bizarre and stupid questions on here.

Why do they drink water? Why do you think??

I despair. I really do.

They really drink blood. It's just de-coloured to look like water. Fact.
