BBC solo headed regions at 1830:

Scotland
Wales
Northern Ireland (Newsline)
Look North EY&L
Look North NE&C
Look East (West)
BBC London News
South Today
South Today Oxford
Midlands Today
BBC Channel Islands News

Double-Headed:

East Midlands Today
Look North (Yorkshire)
South East Today
Spotlight
North West Tonight
Look East (East)

South Today is single-headed on paper, but in reality the second half of the programme is effectively double-headed with the sports presenter.

I would say the same with Look North NE&C, possibly?

And of course Look East (West) has evolved from an opt to a full 1830 programme so I guess single headed is more consistent with its history.

Look East tonight ended with viewers signing along to 'Driving Home for Christmas', finishing on a shot from a helicopter/drone of a circular cul-de-sac - it was almost like they were trying to resurrect the Circles idents and for a second I thought they'd repurposed the end of the BBC One Christmas ident set in a similar location (think the tagline that year was 'Everyone's home for Christmas')!

They also butchered their (already off brand) titles as well.

Today's Look East bulletin was presented from Cambridge rather than Norwich.

I wonder if some of the bulletins between now and the New Year will come from Cambridge and others Norwich.

This sort of thing seems standard for the festive season.

South Today being pan-regional from Oxford tends to be the case too. Viewers from Berkshire southwards literally never see e.g. Geraldine Peers or Jerome Sale at any other time of year (not as reporters, short bulletin presenters, B/C/D Team stand-ins, or anything else), so may wonder who these "nobodies" who only appear in late December are.

I have never known Cambridge be the main studio for the festive season. Yes, the odd weekend occasion.

It is again today with Amanda Goodman presenting. Normally she presents the Sunday bulletin from Norwich.

Have noticed the West titles are being used though. Have Cambridge not got access to the shared titles.

There was also an outing for the pre 1997 hi viz on Richard Smith's piece.

Amanda Goodman on duty from Cambridge today. Perhaps a refresh of the Norwich set for the new year? Although undertaking this work over the festive period seems unlikely.

While unlikely I imagine it is an extended period where providing bulletins from Cambridge is easily possible.

We do get to enjoy animated graphics.

Weather seemed to be via a cut through black though. Thought my tv had gone off.

It will be interesting to see Breakfast bulletins come from Cambridge.
