Anglia is 50 years old next week. As part of the celebrations Anglia News will be meeting up with some of the stars of Anglia over the past 50 years next week. One of the first people on Anglia was a very young Susan Hampshire.

Just a heads up - starting tonight on Anglia News was a series of features on Anglia's 50th birthday. Looks like they will run for next 2 weeks. Should be some nice archive stuff and pres. I think Look East will be running some features too.
Anglia TV is 50 years old today. Tonight's edition of Anglia News will a special one as they celibrate this special occasion.

A great programme looking back at the best bits of Anglia News, along with faces of times gone by and how the weather was done all those years ago. Ended with a long play of the old Anglia theme, which ive not heard that long before.
Annoyingly I missed this but did catch the last few minutes, it did end with a rather dodgy looking Anglia 70/80s end board with the Anglia Knight but instead of the Anglia typeface, it was a ITV1 logo.
Other regions seem to have felt pretty pleased to give us the tiniest glimpse of their old idents, but well done to Anglia- not so much sneaking in the old Knight logo as plastering it all over everything! I loved the customised opening sequence and even that endboard (good enough for ITV, even if it wouldn't have had a smooth ride in the TV Forum mocks section...)
