New mothers often return to work part time - nothing unacceptable about that.

Now that *is* a matter of opinion - although perhaps one for Metropol.

I Assess her reliabilty because of the mass amount she is payed for not doing what she is getting payed to do.

She's allowed to have babies. IMO, that is perfectly acceptable.

yes but to have that amount of money and then when she comes back cut her hours is not acceptable .

and the reason the ratings changed was to do with a change in programme.

New mothers often return to work part time - nothing unacceptable about that. I'd imagine her salary has been cut accordingly, and if it hasn't, that's Sky/Five's fault, not Natasha's.

There is nothing wrong with new mothers working part-time but in the industry that is TV she can not justify the wage she is on about 300,000 pounds a year according to the storys when she was signed Matt Barbet has hosted that programme more times than she has so he should earn the same if not more than her.

now if we get back to the point Matt should be given either the 5 or 7 full time if Natasha insists on working less hours and he should get the same as her .

Ginofish - news presenters don't walk into the Sky News centre 5 minutes before broadcast, read the autocue for half an hour and then go home. There's a lot more to the job which you don't see on the TV. Without knowing what Natasha and Matt do outside of the studio you can not possibly suggest that one or the other deserves their pay cheque more than the other. And that's before you even get into arguments about how high profile each of them are (and the higher profile you are in broadcast, they higher wage you can justify) - Natasha Kaplunski is a household name, Matt (whatever his surname is - I've got no idea) simple isn't.

Using your argument, the bloke who owns and runs the petrol station round the corner from me should get paid the same as the 18 year old kid who works in there part time - after all I only ever see them when they're serving customers so they must be doing exactly the same job and should be paid exactly the same.

Ive never heard of Natasha Kaplunksi is she cousin of Natasha Kaplinksy . And Natasha is not bringing in the viewers

And Matt is full time and a reporter as well and has been there longer than natasha .
He also gets more viewers .

Also Natasha or Matt would go in to work about 3 hours before the programme then amend scripts or write them , read a few papers , make up , practice talk to producers and directors . Do the news have a meeting about what went well etc. and then go home now currently for natasha that would be from about 2-6.

well just based on what I've heard from ITV News, they are in a lot earlier. IIRC the ITV News 6:30pm presenters are in before Midday. So actually in ages before the Lunchtime News.

No green screen for Five News At 7 tonight - I am pretty sure he was in the studio with the LFSF desk when he had someone sat next to him. The Five News (trophy looking thing) was used for 'to the break' & 'end of bulletin'

For someone who has problems following the rules of basic primary-school level English, this is a very very dangerous joke to make.

I'm sure it was a green screen! - Usually on Five News, the camera seems to move all the time when there is a close-up of the presenter (so the presenter is in the centre of the screen). It was a still image again tonight. But, it looked like Matt Barbet was in some kind of studio with a desk in front of him though! I think it was Leyla Hayes sat next to him.

I think I have seen a cap somewhere very similar to tonights 'close up' of Matt and that could still of been green screen for the 15min bulletin. But tonights longer bulletin had to be in the LFSF studio because (if what some say is true) they only have one news studio. The desk did seem similar to the one used in LFSF too.

I Noticed that .

Why don't they just axe that LFSF . It Is not getting viewers , Not liked and a waste of money .

I would either have a new magazine show like the orignal concept five and friends or put something like zoo days on at 6:30 and then at 7 have our news .
