Actual entertainment news is fine. Entertainment being books, television, video games, films, theatre etc.

"A film has been released" or "A book has been published" isn't news either.

After reading through TV Forum for the first time in ages, I really must ask, "Huh?"

Huh?

A book being published is not news.

A book being published with the 'F' word on every other page due to a cock up at the printers, is.

Agreed, I will admit that there is a space in the media for book reviews e.g Booktalk on BBC Parliament.

What seems to have happened is that the type of items covered by Film 2011/12 and Liquid News (RIP Chris Price) has been taken up by the national news.

The BBC has the space and range to cover all these and should ensure that they have their own space not encroach on anywhere else.
