CBSN Denver launched and apparently they converted an office or workpace into a studio for the channel. This studio forges the cues the other channels have taken from the orginal CBSNY channel. (whitewashed brick, frosted panels with the CBSN logo and lots of white. This CBSN Denver used lots of woods (although one saving grace is the wood is grey whitewashed wood) and stacked stone. and a orange bar along the back ground. Because CBS is so cheap they didnt mandate or have a set created for each station. So its seems they allowed the station to come up with it on their own.

I’d assume they don’t have a standard (maybe they could have standardized desk) is due to the limitations of each station. They clearly aren’t using a studio in most of these so they have to make due with what the size limitations are.

And Pittsburgh makes No. 8 for CBSN.

CBSN, which is CBS’ free streaming news service, has expanded to Pennsylvania with its eighth local launch—CBSN Pittsburgh—which went live today. Local versions of CBSN are rolling out in 13 markets, all by the end of this year.

CBS, now ViacomCBS, became the first major media company to launch a local OTT news service when CBSN New York debuted in December 2018. Since then, the company has rolled CBSN Los Angeles, CBSN Boston, CBSN San Francisco Bay Area, CBSN Minnesota, CBSN Philly and CBSN Denver.

Following today’s launch of CBSN Pittsburgh, CBSN Chicago is expected to make its debut later this month.

After that, we’ll soon see CBSN Dallas-Ft. Worth, followed by CBSN Miami, CBSN Sacramento and CBSN Baltimore.
Here is their lame launch video. Geeez....

I bought a Roku box last week and find it interesting that the CBSN app is actually available in the UK, so I can watch all these local CBSN channels from here.

He's a regular contributor to CBS Sunday Morning as well as his "London Calling" segments for the CBS Morning News

A bit of a change from Radio 1, Top Of The Pops and being the spokesman for the BBFC 😂

He does get very political on his twitter though, so I guess it's not that much of a stretch.

Yeah, it's kind of missing something though (and the timing is spot on!)

We obviously talk about them here and the rollout suggests some level of success but are they cutting through and on the radar of the wider audience. I assume they're pushed by the relevant CBS stations though also doubt they want to point people away from their broadcast service. I'd have thought they'd need a similar kind of recognition to the iPlayer here to justify pushing.
