Apologies for wrong English - I'm from Russia and never was imbecile.

In 2008, I opened APFS (archived). Some mocks were good, and I decided to make mines.
Inspired by this: what if Tyne Tees kept third major river, Wear in theirs pres?
I used CorelDraw X3 and I think it can be the way.

In 1960, people from Wear complained about lack of theirs programming and identification. Tyne Tees was given that times to North East Television. They produced the first TWT-TV ident, animated like first Tyne Tees.

MORE SOON... If you want.

Holy sh.... cheese, archive.org managed to archive every single one of the images and text for that gallery! Now there's a first! Ah, this all takes me back... Laughing I still have all the higher res versions of those, as well as the cut ones which I never sent through sitting on the computer somewhere.

That gallery is actually rather nice. Might be worth showing the 'deleted scenes' off in the next mock amnesty.

You missed a trick by not calling it 'T-W-A-T TV'

"Hello and welcome to T-W-A-T Television, broadcasting to the North East of England on the transmitters..."

Many apologies. Of course, that's just an abbreviature means 'Tyne, Wear and Tees Television'. It was made to shorter my posts.

Authority announcements would be like that: 'This is Tyne, Wear and Tees Television - ITV from North East, broadcasting from transmitters of Independent [add necessary name] Authority'.

Arrow Colour era gave some headache to Channel 8 NE (it was renamed from North East Television). They argued that people were just getting used to the name of company so it would be a big mistake to change it because ITV moved to Channel 3. C8NE was not going to be beaten this easily, so, to rub the ITA's nose in it, they renamed as Tyne, Wear and Tees. Ident was animated like TTTV's one.

Arrow This existed for brief period in 1973, and showed the spinning down and failing TT(-W-)TV letters. Yorkshire noticed that they used their jingle reversed and kept a close watch to station. Also TTWTV had to put up with pressure from the IBA, who by now harboured a deep resentment of the station, and complained about the lack of the word 'colour' from the ident.

Arrow The most famous ident. No words at all.

Arrow First CGI ident was showing water flowing into the shape of the lettering. It also was well-known and loved.

Coming Soon... if you have constructive criticism.

They seem to have a habit in the North East of almost giving things names with unfortunate acronyms. The Central University of Newcastle upon Tyne debacle also springs to mind. Wink

It's rather good, but can be improved. For example, the "Flowing Rivers" ident should really (I'm not familiar with CorelDRAW) have a shadow or something similar instead of simply a duplicate layer.

Would like to see this progress, so good luck with it.

Though the hacked pieces of my descriptions don't work all that well out of context... Laughing

I used Interactive Shadow tool and minimized blurring to make something like C3NE's.
