Now that Thames is to become a standalone company name again, I thought I would design a new endcap for its productions.

I know that since the Thames Talkback merger they've been very dull with their endboards, that doesn't mean you have to be too.

More effort. Much more, this looks like a five minute job.

It took much longer than five minutes to piece together those London buildings. I believe it looks professional, not dull, unless you would prefer the clucking Chicken on the Bwark production endcap?

Don't be so protective over your designs, that was my mistake when I first joined the forum. Just take the comments on board and try your best to improve your mock on the feedback that you get..
But I must agree with baa to be honest.

I don't care how long it took you to make something, if the end product looks lousy then you've exerted a lot of time making something look lousy. It doesn't look professional in the slightest because "professional" isn't code for "uninspired" or "cheap". Now I haven't seen nor heard of either of those examples you mention at the end but I'd still reckon they have at least some personality or spark to them at any rate.

This is a superindie, not some cut rate indie who produces two small series every year or so. The brand should reflect that and the heritage of the Thames brand. This does neither.

Perhaps this is better?

I think that this is a close enough recreation of your design and it took me less than 30 seconds so I don't think that you have tried to improve your mock on the feedback that you have received..

Sarcasm noted. In response, I'm guessing this is a photo of your latest opus: physical sets, two metre high letters and the shiniest floor you could find.

Two weeks in the making, at least. Wink

I see what you did there.

Even though TalkbackThames and Thames' logo are wordmark, these mocks just lack presence on screen.

That doesn't matter, he took... let's see what he wrote here... "literally more than five minutes" so anywhere between 6 minutes and a good few hours creating no presence because the barely visible skyline seemingly halfinched from Thames' 1991 ident needed screwing around with.

I feel like we're being screwed around with to be fair.
