Nice concept, I think it'd be good if you worked them into the idents a bit more rather than just placing them over them.

Nice job... they look good. Like what has been said, I'd try integrating them into the idents to better reflect the branding properties.

Interesting idea - at what point in the ident would they fade up? (I still want to be able to see my 2s properly, even if they're not as good as the old ones...).
Would the beeb bring back the old 1 or choose a dynamic new... errr...one?

They wouldn't just fade up. As the ident action blurred out, the logos would blur in. It would appear just before the announcer would start.

I agree with Karl. All you seem to have done at the moment is stuck some rectangles over the current Idents.

What would Endcaps, etc... look like?

They do look quite wacky though, something I sort of like!
