Not bad. Very impressive. You can remove the box around the BBC News logo though.....
I wasn't keen on it after I added it, so it's definitely being removed in the next version.
Other tweaks, the place name decoders need to animate properly on the endboard (and some shots from the titles). I might see how the old 'radio waves' work with the 'cat's cradle' place names.
I also want to create astons, screen graphics, closing title graphics, phono boards, quote boards etc for this package (which I'll have to do around work commitments.
I've not done any real mocking for 3/4 years now and want to get back into it.
I don't mind the box around the BBC News logo, just the way it animates - why do the top and right sides animate quite slowly, but then the left and bottom sides animate in the blink of an eye?
The mock itself is quite nice - it has reminded me though of how bad the regional news music was then though!
I like it, feels very BBC and I like the animations too. If anything keep the box around the logo as that seems to be the way the BBC is going with its logos.
I've done cats cradle and decoding mashups it works surpisingly well. Like this, short sweet and nicely done. The monochrome graphics feel dated though, perhaps try a "leave colour" effect and maintian any red in the original image (mailbox logo on the building would look good in colour)

Also why is it 16:10 not 16:9 ratio?
Good shout on the leave colour effect:
Will get that sorted ASAP, the 16:10 is caused by me running it through Handbrake to compress it for upload, as the lossless file was too large.

Leave the box around the BBC News logo - I rather like this distinctive addition.
So this week I will try and render out some changes, some more indepth graphics, phonos, astons and so on. Sadly work commitments have stalled my mock progress so far!
I know it's a bit late but I've been busy with work.
I've decided to do a mock 'Midlands Breakfast' in this style, as though it came from Pebble Mill (though quite why BBC Breakfast is showing world remains a mystery!)
