Following on from my comment on layering text on text, the ITV logo is that blue colour, with News, Channel and Sport in white. How would this work on a white background?

Black's not exactly readable.

Is that Myriad Pro?

So essentially you launched up Photoshop and typed. Great stuff Rolling Eyes

So we can be 100% certain that this took no more than 5 minutes.

Was there ever any doubt?

Just thought I would state the bleeding obvious like the original poster. Laughing

There's no overstating the obvious here, this is TV Forum. The obvious is hidden in wordplay and over-analysis like a Magic Eye picture from the 90s.

On a white background, the "Sport" tagline would be black.

It's not Myriad Pro, it's a font called "Cleanvertising Heavy". I could see how you'd think that as they are quite similar.

Maybe the colour could be darkened slightly to make it more readable.

If a Graphic Designer had produced these logos for ITV, they would sack the designer and find someone else, so I don't think that changing the colour is going to cut it... you've committed a graphic design faux pas. You should move the text so it is not overlapping on your "Channel", "Sport" and "News" logos.

But please, spend a while longer thinking about this, and if you don't think ITV will accept the finished product, then it is not good enough.

It's a little light. Not much body. You didn't pay much for it, I hope!?

Used Optima for the ITV News Logo?... Very Marks and Spencer... News, IMO, should be BIG AND BOLD... Something Optima isn't.
