Have had a bit more time to play now, and have worked the new logo into things:

I don't know what you're trying to make here. If you're trying to create something you could imagine seeing on TV today then I'm afraid it's a poor attempt. For a start the music is very much of it's time I'm not sure if anything could be done to make it sound right for today. If it's got panpipes in it's going sound dated.

If you're trying to pay homage to the original show, then don't use the logo they're using for this new programme as it's very much a product of modern day design.

The sequence you've made is quite nice as are the visuals, but it doesn't work just plunked in the middle of the GMB logo they just don't feel right together. I don't get why you would to shoot such sequence and only use a small part of the screen, it's just using the shape for the sake of using it.

I don't want to sound too negative your original video was well produced despite the Windows Movie Maker handicap and it's not too different to what we got from the original Daybreak minus the dated music. I suspect what we see on Monday will be nothing like it though simply because it's too similar to Daybreak.

Kind of agree with Jon - good to see I'm not the only person who doesn't think that music is timeless, while though good for what it is that style of opening sequence with images framed by a logo of some kind seems very dated.

I wouldn't be surprised if titles are very minimal for GMB.

I'm not trying to predict what GMB will look like... I am well aware from struggling on through 180 pages of the GMB thread that it is going to be different. The purpose of the mock was to find something to suit the music, and also make use of the stock footage I had already.

But isn't the whole idea of a mock to create something one could realistically imagine seeing on screen or to recreate something that has been on screen already?

I'm not having a discussion with you on what a mock should be. You don't like it, you've made that clear, now move on.

I'm not particularly happy this has been faded out as a 'Poor Design' when there are far worse on here with higher ratings.

With posts like this you're just giving the impression people should only tell you what you want to hear. How will you make any improvements if you're going to refuse to take on board what people think.

You picked up one of the comments I made and ignored the rest without addressing them you've not said whether you agreed or disagreed and whether you're going to have any new attempts to address the issues I and others had.

Is your latest attempt something you could ever imagine seeing on television?

Okay try.. But, that music is dreadful and well past it's sell by date.
