Sorry for bumping an old thread, but just came back from the US and noticed this presentation technique that TBS uses, their take on accelerated flow.

What's with the hideously large TV-PG certificate? Others I've seen are half the size, and the colours are inverted.

Otherwise.... interesting.

I really don't like accelerated flow, play the credits full screen, and DONT TALK OVER THEM.

It also smacks of desperation for advertising revenue when a channel starts the next programme before the last one has actually finished.

As I've said previously, we wont be seeing any new innovations in television presentation coming from this forum. Anyone good enough to produce such a work, will more than likely be working for a design agency, and the first time we will see this new innovation will be when it first appears on a TV channel.

It is time this thread was closed.

I have no idea why a lot of cable networks do this, and I've noticed NBC have INCREASED their rating symbol for no reason. The other terrestrial networks (Fox, CBS, ABC etc) haven't followed suit.

As well as the credits, I think they're also showing the opening titles for the show at the same time as well! Really? How much more time does that give them!
