Central TV mock

I wonder what Central would look like in 2012? (June 2012)

This is my first mock, I chose it because I already had an iconic logo, so all I needed to do was create everything else.

These are the idents:

Day idents:

Night ident:

Sport ident

Here is the programme trail endboard:

A clock:

And, an apology caption!

The idea for the idents is that it starts off with the scenery (Grass, sky, stadium etc.) and then blurs out, revealing the logo and the name. This is a work in progress, so it may be a few weeks before I finish it off. In the meantime, please give me advice on how to improve.

Not a great mock I'm afraid (you need to do more than just a logo on top of a picture), but at least we have something that ISN'T BBC News or any Channel 5 style channel

Have to agree with xwing, this would have had to be animated for it to get more than 1 star from me.

The cake and text could be 'central', they jump around flicking through the images.

ugh, I really wish people wouldn't try to pull the wool and claim "don't judge my pictures! It's just a concept guyz!"

Well then don't submit it if it's unfinished. No-one's buying it.

It isn't a disaster (more testament to what this section has become) but it's as basic as they come. Credit for good attention to safe areas but a substantial increase in imagination and time taken to develop software skill is required if you're going to take this further.

Thanks, next time I won't upload anything until it is finished. I misunderstood what this section was for, since most of the articles are 'concepts'

All of the articles are concepts... they are never going to be used by the broadcasters. The thing to note is that the good ones are complete.

Hope this doesn't put you off making mocks, but don't make the mistake of posting anything soon... take your time... the mock and your skills will benefit.

Needs work if truth be told, especially on the ident.

The clock, I would argue, as you've done it, it would have probably worked better in the era that the music you've used on the ident mock is from, the early/mid 80's, rather than the one they reused from ATV. You could try sticking some clock hands on a Central "pie" globe and see how it looks.
