It feels a bit wrong mix and matching the two especially when other broadcasters are meant to join.

It's weirdly fine with the letters B, B and C, but not so good with anything else!

Sorry to hijack, but I think what you're proposing is a little messy a clumsy. Something more akin to this would work much better IMO.
