Please continue, and I'd really like to see your on-screen graphics for this.
I definitely think David Lowe should continue. On a side point, the BBC Philharmonic did a medley, and there were a few seconds of an orchestrated BBC News theme and it sounded amazing. I hope for the next rebrand, BBC News pulls out all of the stops!
Titles transition: As the titles end, the background fades into the first shot, which would be the globe & logo over a blurred image of the newsroom, which would sweep into the studio, gradually focussing as the titles disappear (the globe would swirl out, the logo fade/slide.
On-screen graphics. Inspired by ABC Australia's current look. simple but different to the current batch of astons. Breaking is a bold yellow to attract attention. I'll add more after feedback.
I'm not sure about pink for the actual graphics. Although there's a more pink feel in your mocks, I think red would still fit in perfectly. I've never been a fan of yellow for Breaking News to be honest and a flipper can be very restrictive in terms of length compared to a ticker.
Other than that, very good! I like the way the titles emerge into the studio.
If I were you , I would make minimal adjustments to your onscreen graphics! They are AMAZING! I love them!
I'm also really pleased you have stayed away from red. I think its time BBC News evolved from red slightly, and in your mock, this evolution is very subtle. The deep pink is fresh, but still harks back to the red era. Great work!
I definitely agree, I think the red branding for BBC News should continue, but obviously adding some more fresh elements is necessary as well. Same for the Breaking News, keep that red, in spite of the temptation to go all Sky News! Perhaps in the next set of mocks, add more red but do stay original!
I also hope they make the most of the excellent aesthetics of the Broadcasting House - both inside and outside - so I'm glad to see you've done that.
Finally glad to see the back of Gill Sans - it is overly bland and I'm fed up of it. They're simplistic but clear and uses gradients in an understated way. I can only imagine the graphics will animate in a much more exciting way than at present.
The shapes are Sky News, but I like the way they are much more simplistic. Also stay with a ticker - CNN's flipper shows all of the faults of a flipper!
Can you animate these graphics into a video? I'd really love to see this. PLEASE CONTINUE! These are showing lots of promise.
I would take away the BBC News DOG and just have the time. We know it's BBC News because we recognise the studio and the colour scheme and the newsreaders are constantly telling us we are watching BBC News.

But we know the time because it's on the EPG, our walls and our phones and the newsreaders are constantly telling us.
