First of all I would like to say sorry for way I acted the last time I posted here. It was entirely inappropriate of me and I hope fellow forum members will forgive me, if not I understand.

This is my idea for a new strand on the rather underused channel, 4seven. The channel is essentially another More4. My idea is to use the excess morning channel space to show classic Channel 4 programming that people on social network website suggest be shown. I have named the stand 4by3 which represents the 4:3 aspect ratio most of the programmes on the strand will be broadcast in (within a 16:9 frame). The idents and branding will be much the same as the current 4seven branding, with the blue colour changed for a red colour. Some of the background on the 'message flipper' would be stills of classic Channel 4 presentation. The logo would also be similar to the 4seven logo, except the '3' would be red, the top and bottom side profiles of the '3' would be blue to represent a ':' as in 4:3 (pronounced as 4by3).

I feel this would improve the channel considerably.

I know if I tried to explain this 4:3 to my teenage cousin, i would get a strange look followed by... 'Whats an Aspect Ratio?' when I explain it to her she would glaze over. It may be simple to those who understand TV's inner workings, but for those not clued in, and not inclined to find out, its nonsensical.

Compare this to the simplicity of... 'All your favorite shows Twenty 4 7 '

I like the thought you've put into the logo. The rest, whilst tidy, is bland.

BUT... and this is a mega huge gripe thats working against you... its an Imaginary Programme/Channel and i really dont like that.

A Made Up Programme = SRS has lost interest.
