Recording onscreen?!

OK basically what I need is something that will record what I'm doing on-screen in Windows into a video format. Like print-screen - just video!

Preferably I need a free one with no words or copyright logos etc over the top and preferably one that captures into a format I can use in PowerPoint.

I know I'm asking a lot but any ideas would be great! Thanks guys.

Camstudio is an open-source solution, try Googling it. I thin it's on Sourceforge.

Windows Media Encoder also does this, and for me I've found it works the best, but it only encodes to Windows Media Video (which is perfect for Powerpoint).

Yeah I've found the avi format a bit potchy to be honest. Thanks everyone.

Where abouts do you do it as I keep getting the broadcast off a server thing :S
