Free-to-use production music. Any suggestions for me?

Hello all!

For a local television show in The Netherlands, I am asked to make a new opener. Since the budget is €0, I am looking around websites offering free-to-use production music. Looking around, it seems only the French horn is used. That instrument (especially when from a MIDI-file) gives a very corny effect. Do you have any suggestions what to use to make it look like more up to date?

The feeling of the show should be the same as The One Show on BBC One, to give you an idea of what I'm looking for.

Thanks!

Or have a look on audionetwork.com and license the music, they're not that expensive and if you want it to sound even slightly good then this is your best bet.

On the topic of this, is there anywhere I can locate free news theme tunes. I've googled but can only find ones that are costing and for the project I'm involved in there is also no budget whatsoever.

If you have a Mac (or you have access to a Mac for the project) there are some good news theme-like loops in GarageBand.

I don't know if this was for me or the thread creator but thanks from me any way. I checked out the site but can't actually be used unfortunately.

We're looking for one that is similar to GMB, preferably with a bit before the introduction before blasting into the full theme. It's really difficult and sucks that we can't fund this as it would be really easy? Any other suggestions they are all appreciated.

I've found one similar to GMB but it isn't a free one, will DM you a link when I have a moment.

Depending on the sort of music you want, Music4YourVids is a decent site. The licence for the free music is simple, and it's just a matter of attributing it in your credits. The paid for tracks are cheap as chips and require no attribution whatsoever.

more details ……..
