Hi everyone.
I would be extremely grateful if anybody could provide me with any photos/clips of Fern. It was a chat show on Channel 4 weekdays at 5pm which was axed after 4 weeks. If I remember correctly, I think it didn't do very well competing with The Paul O'Grady Show. It was produced by Cactus Television. I have viewed as much information as possible from the Wayback Machine's scan of the channel4.com/programmes/fern .
However, none of this has any trace or mention of the cake-baking competition that went on as a strand on the show. I would particularly like to find any information relating to this, which took place in the studio kitchen in London. A number of 'contestants' who were picked to appear on the show baked a cake. The worst one got sent off until there was a winner in the final. The winner was my mum, who made a cake of The Queen's "Back Garden Tea Party" round the back of Buckingham Palace in the final. She won a KitchenAid that she still uses today in her business, and she recalls that Jennie Bond was quite excited to meet her, and that they had a nice chat in the green room. It brings back a lot of memories of me and my nan running home from school and patiently waiting for Countdown to finish so we could watch her on TV.
Again, I would be extremely thankful if anyone could find any information regarding this. Thanks.
