UPDATED :: BBC World/News 24

Hello, I made these just a moment ago and personally I think they are much better than this new set that News 24 now has...

I pretty much based them on the new weight of the large font and the new ticker...

I've made a gap between the ticker and astons because I think it looks alot tider than if they were joined together...

I've also made some new titles, which I will post later tonight UK time.

where will News 24 put the time. Plus how would you then simulcast the network bulletins?

A pretty decent modification. The only thing I don't like is the different shade of red on the RHS - I'd take the red bar right across.


As for time - I guess you could put it on the ticker instead of the pretty pointless "Headlines".


These graphics would actually make simulcasting easier as they wouldn't need to worry about the tower in the bottom left corner.

Good change, but the colours on some straps sort of clash.

I've made a little alteration as suggested above... the clock for BBC News 24 is where the ticker mast is and the red bar goes all the way across, and i've also made the Headlines strap...

Thanks for the edit. Now where do you put the live location strap? Plus how would you accomodate the split screen features?

Have you thought about having different coloured bars for sport biz wtc, or would they all be red?

Plus, would the nationals have anything different for the simulcats?

Well to make you thank me again, ill have a look at doing some sport straps and WBR ones, and ill have a look at doing split screens and national graphics too.

I rather like these, but I would be sad to see the demise of the tower as above, and would rather if the tower had to go, i would like to see a wholesale change to all gfx rather than just tweaks along the lines of yours.

They are still excellent mocks however and therefore get 3 Stars!

I think that it is too similar to the post 2003 design. The current set of graphics was meant to be a progression from that design, this seems to be a regression.

With simulcasting though the tower just gets in the way and leads to some pretty dodgy graphics as a result.


By the way, I'd suggest putting the LIVE/Location dog just about the main aston, perhaps dropping down when the aston isn't used (though it generally is!)
