The REAL new BBC News ident?

I know this isn't strictly a mock, but I have just found this image on BBCi...

At first glance, it looks slightly different in colour to the current design, but that's about it. I wonder how long the image has been on BBCi?

If this was the "new" design, I'd have to say that it was a complete dissapoinment. Most people probably wouldn't see the difference.

I think it looks like a cross between LDN / Look East, and the current national news.

Its a very old image, and is not linked to the new look, so please stop wasting your time people...

Thats Used in the A/V page of BBC News Online. Anyway, if they used that, whats the point of having a new logo on the plasma screens!
