A while ago I did a mock for a family of channels called RTV, this is a mock of a news channel that uses the same brand, called R News. To try to tie it in with that, I've used the globe logo as the main component of the graphics and have stuck to a brown and white colour scheme. I've also tried to take on board some of the suggestions from that post and used an aspect ratio based on the safe area guide on this site and tried to avoid using colours that are too bright.

Just the ticker:

The ticker and headline strap:

Two-way video feed:

The ticker, name strap and live strap:

As you can see from the above, the same strap can be used for both headlines and names. The live strap can also be used for 'courtsey of...', 'pictures from...' etc.

Please post your suggestions of how I could improve and I promise I'll try to use them!

They are just a tad to big for my liking!

The graphics are easy on the eyes, but not very modern or 2007.

Big 'n' crowded. And jaggy as well - anti-aliasing text makes it much easier on the eyes (and the logo makes me think of jupiter as well). The colours are allright, but there doesn't seem to be an actual logo or anything too distinctive - it all blends in to each other.

That font is revolting, theres no distinctive logo, and the text on the background of the studio/place screens would be too distracting. 1/4

Too dated. I imagine that's what Sky News would have looked like had it existed in the 70s.

It looks like some UFO channel. Very retro, and not something I'd like to see on my telly.
