An ITV idea

I was playing around one day, and started trying out random lettering, and symbols to try and totally change the ITV brand. I created some very weird and random logos, and ended up with a design that I liked.

The idea was to create a very basic ITV logo, and to adapt it with a unique channel logo, making each sub brand/channel feel totally different, yet very much under the same umbrella.

The idea is a simple 'itv', with a target logo beneath. Each channel/sub brand would use the target with the logo. It works better with some than it does for others. I've pretty much stayed with the current channel colours, though have opted for a deep fuscia for ITV1 to replace the channel, and for a dark blue for ITV News. Let me know what you think please.

Some really interesting ideas there. Not sure it would suit ITV though. I can see it being used for something like MTV though?

It's a good idea, but I'm not sure if it's suited to ITV, perhaps a more 'youth' orientated network?

I'm not too keen on these actually. Perhaps with a bit more work they'd look more acceptable but I too can't see ITV using these... a channel aimed at young people perhaps?

These don't suit the ITV channels at all, especially News, sorry.

Might have potential for a digital channel somewhere along the lines of a youth-oriented channel (such as Trouble for example) but for ITV this is just too cheap and tacky looking I'm afraid.

Unfortunately if you'd not told us it was an ITV mock I immediately read it as a stick man with one arm bigger than the other showing off an array of interesting and unusual genitalia packages.

I'm sure the design has potential, I just can't see it working for ITV unfortunately. For what it is though, maybe applying it to a different channel package (such as previously mentioned the MTV channels) would be better suited to this design.

Yeah, some of these are not just impractical from a design sense of view, but morally as well. There is no way ITV News could have authority reporting on a crisis with a logo like that.
