Is it me or is the mocks forum improving?

Lately I've noticed a steady increase in the quality of mocks in this forum. Of course, there's still junk -- but recently, I'd say it's been decreasing, making the Mock Designs forum a much more pleasurable browse. Has anyone else noticed this promising trend?

Almost, the better mockers have returned but otherwise the same ol' ****. Not enough to offset the ratio of quality to pap but you can't win them all.

I think the rating does actually help, if it's 1star then I don't even bother giving the thread a look, but I know what you mean, it's not been bad recently.

I actually think it's gone worse since people started to make stupid threads such as this one!

But on the mocks, yes, they're good.

I think the amount of Mocking has drastically decreased.
There aren't as many visitors to this section of TVF as there used to be.

yes i think it is changing but i really think that much more will ned to be done before the mock section will be as good as it uesd to be.

I'm all for the mocks rating system- I now don't look at any thread which has been rated below three stars...really helps to avoid getting angry at certain individual's lack of respect for this forum (and, as generally follows with such posters, incredibly poor English).

Yes, ratings help enormously. Might a useful expansion on this be to consign those mocks which have e.g. (two stars or fewer and five votes or more) to a "low rated" subsection?

I don't actually pay attention to the mock ratings at all, as people could just easily rate something that is very good 1 star, then no-one would see it.

I mean, some very nice mocks just get put down very quickly, and there is also a bit of hostility in this forum - people seem to turn their nose up at new people now.

No, we turn our nose up at bad mocks and the only hostility is from those who want to make it less critical and more "That's nice, you should send that to (company name)".

I'd have said "disdain" rather than "hostility", myself!
