Wow, TV Forum is older than half of it's members!

There was a (?)server failure in January 2003, meaning everyone had to re-register from what I can tell.

I know I say this every year (maybe) but I remember being amazed at this forum when I joined it back on the 26th May that year (thank you, Web Archive)...

How did you do that out of interest? I can see my name alongside all the old favourites but can't read any posts or see any member details.

It's a complicated task of going here and trying to find something interesting within thousands of pages. A lot of the profiles (though not all) are at http://web.archive.org/web/*sr_871nr_30/http://www.tvforum.co.uk/cgi-bin/ikonboard/* onward, and then threads can be found on the other pages.

Here's page one of the LEGENDARY Look North and Calendar thread, the first ever to get over 100 pages: http://web.archive.org/web/20020112053902/www.tvforum.co.uk/cgi-bin/ikonboard/topic.cgi?forum=1&topic=17&replies=643
Pages 2-3, 68-70 and 82-84 work as well!

Wow, that list of usernames really took me back. I can't believe just how many people have been and gone since then.

Bloody hell. It only feels like the other week when the logo said TV Forum with a roman V.

Hmm, it has been some time, hasn't it? To think I only came here because nobody likes a ruddy firebrand...

Any idea on when you'll be able to install the beta software, Asa?Wink

Erm.. Very Happy I've had a bit more time to work on it lately so it is coming together but will still be a while yet.

Once the new site is up and running I'll go through the original registrations and change each registration date back back to the original one.

And great download, Bail! Wink

All I can say for now is happy birthday to TV Forum. Hmmm... next year is it possible for TV 7orum?

September 8th 2001, if that info's correct, for yours truly.(I was just Westy then)

I'd only had the internet for a year roughly by then!

This archive page is quite interesting. A few of the threads are available to read (including one about spelling by our very own Nick Harvey).

Although it only seems to be a few Lounge threads I'm having luck with.

I can't remember exactly when I joined, though it was sometime in summer 2001. I just recall the date of the site's birthday, for the same reason I recall the date every year... Laughing
