That pretty much sums it up! I don't have a clue what's going on with all this; particularly with the Subs on, it's not a good look - goodness knows if they're planning on cross-promoting with this style - I somehow doubt that's even possible...You've got to laugh though!

I must say, I really am baffled as to why they insist on having this 'Subtitles' indicator on idents now. How many programmes don't have subtitles these days?
Looking at that clip of 'Seascape', the BBC logo (and Subtitles indicator if they really must) would definitely look much better on the left-hand-side. The sequences were clearly filmed such that the '2' ends up slightly off-centre, to the right. Why on earth they're putting the BBC logo on the right-hand-side is beyond me.

I honestly don't know what they're thinking of. It's blindingly obvious the BBC logo should be somewhere on the left of the screen and now we've got the added mess of the completely obsolete subtitles tag. Why, when they have got buckets of empty space to the left of the 2, have they insisted on putting the subs tag over the top of it?! As 623058 would say, it makes no since.

With the video posted a few pages back for that 6am ident on October 1st, there was a BBC TWO watermark - is there always a watermark on BBC TWO, just overnight or is it because the new changes?

It's the DOG used during the overnight Learning Zone strand. If you take a closer look you will notice that they use the '97 style strip logo, with 'TWO' still displayed in Gills Sans. It appears no-one can be bothered to update it.

They do that on the Learning Zone and have done for years.
Nearly 11 Years they've been doing that for now, it's simply because the idents are branded as BBC Learning Zone with no BBC TWO in sight, so they put the DOG up there to avoid confusion, if thats possible.
