The USA version of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway starts on 15th September on NBC. Renamed 'Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris' it airs Tuesday nights.

Here's the episode synopsis & promo :

Reese Witherspoon serves as the celebrity guest announcer during the series premiere of this variety show hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, which features A-list stars, performances, stunts, comedy skits, mini game shows, audience giveaways and hidden camera pranks. Based on the British series "Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway."

Nicole Scherzinger joining him as a sidekick. Not sure about the launch strategy - first two episodes are at 10pm with NBC hoping I guess the America's Got Talent finale and The Voice auditions provide a good lead in, but just can't see this sort of show working at 10pm. It moves to 8pm in week 3, but the damage might be done by then.

The Australian version of The Chase. Dodgy host alert...

A much better variant of the Chase than the US version - I suppose the fact that they were showing the UK version before means that they had to follow the UK version down to titles, graphics and musics more closely.

Surely they don't need to keep referring to it as 'The Chase Australia' throughout the programme? If we aired it on Challenge, for example. in the UK, calling it 'The Chase Australia' would be appropriate, but I don't see the point of it when it's airing in Australia anyway.

As others have posted, it's because the UK series has been airing over there. I doubt it'll be that way forever if the series is recommissioned.

And just like the daytime version, they use canned audience applause and laughter, only much more OTT cheering and whooping canned audience sounds which just seem wrong. The host is  terrible  also.

And it still is airing daily. The Chase UK goes out at 3pm whilst The Chase Australia goes out at 5pm on Seven.

I thought they'd have rested the UK version whilst the Australian version airs. It will suffer from over exposure.

Was the new chaser in the UK chase a one off? I notice she's not being mentioned in the "who will it be today" bit anymore.

The episodes are from different blocks of filming.

Re: The Chase Australia - almost all their international formats are suffixed with Australia as often they do screen the US or British version first.

The daytime syndicated Who wants to be a be a Millionaire? in the United States has reverted (more or less) back to the original money ladder format. With pretty much original lifelines (phone-a-friend is now +1 which is just asking the friend in the audience), after a spell with a couple of comedians hosting they've gone to a straight man named Chris.

The music hasn't reverted back. They still stand which I think is a good modernisation, but it feels like the original Millionaire format again which is a great thing, if it saves the show.
