Sky Sports F1 HD is a new channel for Sky Sports customers launching in March next year. The channel will not be broadcasting adverts during the coverage and the channel will show every race and every practise session. At the moment its not clear if it will be launching on Virgin Media or BT Vision, but it will be avaliable on Sky Go. Here is a link to a article on the Sky site with more info about the new channel along with the new logo :

Apparently also included for customers who don't have Sky Sports but have the HD pack.

If only there was a sports-based thread for all sport-related TV discussion. Oh well.

So does this technically mean we have to pay to watch the F1.....Why does Sky have to ruin everything for people...

No, BBC are showing half the races live and the other half will be extended highlights. The BBC will be at all of the races and will include Jake Humphrey and David Coulthard and Eddie Jordan is likely to remain part of the team.

That's now up to 450 pages with stories that can be easily missed? I'd say the launch of a new channel (and new pres) perfectly warrants a separate thread - as would have all the news about the BBC/Sky deal when it came out.

Just something to note. Ben Edwards has been named as lead BBC commentator for 2012.
