Just thought I'd mention - next week's Radio Times lists Mark Austin and James Mates to present News at Ten next Friday.

Interesting - when was the last time we saw two male newscasters presenting an ITV News bulletin? Probably the 1980s, with the pairing of Alastair Burnet and Sandy Gall.

Quite interesting that tonight's NaT isn't coming from the Studio at all, Mark being outside Scotland Yard and Julie in Cambridge. Although their coverage about the terror swoop has been good.

Just to note - the absence of the BBC 10 last night meant that the 10pm bulletin on ITV1 got 4.2 million viewers.



Well Radio Times are now saying Mark's flying solo on Friday.
