Is that the titles? And what was the studio part called then?

No its a clip from a new season trailer, set to some typically 1995 music "things could be marvelous" or whatever it was called

No you're not getting any videos, just captures

I remember that promo as if it was yesterday, I loved it. I know I have some old tapes of NICK around somewhere with 'Pirate TV' where they stayed broadcasting an hour later in the summer holidays and they made out no-one knew about it. There was no shows on just an hour of the presenter prattin about. Classic TV.

Is that Helen Chamberlain, gees she looks quite old there, yes I remember Nickelodeon it was way interesting then, it was around 1994 that we starting subscribing to Sky, it was way cool then, all the channels were decent quality, with fantastic idents (remember Bravo back in 1995!) and no red dots.

It is Helen Chamberlain. She was only there five minutes though, she presented fairly off peak slots I think, like weekend lunchtimes

Here's some more clips from early 1996.

Some more studio shots - Sarah Cawood

The start of Parmount had changed by then. Notice a trailer that actively promotes Paramount as being on after Nick. A bit different from the situation we have thesedays with CBBC and BBC Three.

The menus used this street scene with people going into a Paramount club. "This is how we do it" is the song that is used on these. Not as good as the plain menus used before

On this occasion someone forgot to remove the DOG

They still haven't noticed and it's past 7pm now!

A quick click and it's changed. Notice the Paramount DOG is of a new design

I'vd dug up some more images including the next (3rd) set they introduced in April 1996. But first as a taster, this is what people were asking for:

Remember Mike McClean on Nickelodeon. Ahhh. Those were the days. When younger, it used to be on in the morning, and on as soon as I got back from school. Brings back many memories Very Happy

By 1999, the ident featured kids painting the screen orange. And I'm not sure the puppet was Emlyn, it might have been someone else.

What happened to Emlyn, anyway? Was around all the time in 2000, and then disappeared. Last time I saw him was in a cameo appearance on Ana's last day, when he said he'd been "watching you very closely". Whether he was referring to us or Ana, I'm not sure.

Now, this is interesting...when did the one with the cows come in? ( "Now it's time to go...to say goodnight...but don't be sad...'cus we'll be back... ") Should have never got rid of that one...
