I’ve caught up on the pantomime episode today, and for me it was just what I needed to give me a feel good boost, all participated well and put on a brilliant show.

The changes to the set, graphics and especially the panto esque theme tune were brilliant!

You can't say that, don't you know This Morning is meant to be this hard hitting programme where fun and silliness is forbidden!? Wink

It was so This Morning that they had to break every 10 minutes to plug the competition, and even threw an agony phone in right in the middle of it.

To be honest it was terrible, but isn't that the point.

It was terrible and just felt a bit self-indulgent. Having to do stuff remotely didn't help.

Completely accept that it was fun, and certainly the creativity and willingness to do new things is to be admired.

That said, it was incredibly cringe and I found it a struggle to watch as a result! Mind you, I’m not the target audience. I think it was the atmosphere – jokes just hung there with little reaction, some of the delivery was way off, and the technical delays on the remote didn’t help!

It just went on too long, but also this year they weren't able to do the usual end of year gathering with the shows contributers which would normally take up the last half hour. Interesting though they took the programme strap away for most of the panto - that's usual unnecessarily ever present nowadays.

The theme variation was brilliant though, as is the Christmas theme. And the Genie Lamp area looked pretty decent in the panto too - arguably better than their main sofa area.

Caller Janice on today’s This Morning bigging up Ruth and how she’s followed her work since her TSW days.

Probably the first time TSW has gotten a mention on ITV for a long time!

I saw that too. Brilliant! Just illustrates how much regional television meant to their communities.

Ruth brings it up from time to time.

It's the end of an era tomorrow, with Eamonn and Ruth presenting their final Friday show after 15 years!

I can hear Alison Hammond saying '' we're on Fridays for now on guys how great is that''. Not Great for Eamonn and Ruth really but at least they'll be doing holidays

Weekends? Are they putting TM on 7 days a week? I presume you meant holidays?

Do you know that for a fact, as there is every chance they will do 5 days a week in the school holidays, at least the short school holidays
