Sorry if I'm bunking the thread, but Sunday morning TV (asides from during the summertime) probably has never really ‘taken off’ in the UK because many people go to church or use the opportunity to get a lie-in because of how ... unexciting Sundays are.

I don't know, you have to remember people have other things going on, But the Disney club was rather popular during the late 80s and early - mid 90s. Current Sunday brunch seems to have a loyal following.
There were a small number of occasions when they both took "Morning Worship", but that was only if that programme was coming from a Scottish church.
Was the programme produced by Border from a church in the south of Scotland, or did it feature churches further north located well into STV / Grampian territory?
It was mainly from those areas, however there were times STV opted out of the main Morning Worship, even it was scottish church. Scottish companies never had a regular slot for Morning Worship programme, it could actually be once a month if you were lucky. STV always used the 10am Sunday slot of Sesame street. In the 90s again it would be other stuff, including scottish religious stuff.
