Just saw a trail for The Sound of TV with Neil Brand and thought it would be up the street of a lot of people on here.

Brand's previous two series on the histories of film soundtracks and musicals were fascinating and included some interesting insights into the different techniques used and interviews with the composers, so this should be good.

It's three episodes and starts on the 4th of December, the first episode is about theme tunes and it looks like later episodes look at incidental music.

I too enjoyed his series on musicals. Just stumbled across the second episode looking for something to watch, and wound up enjoying it so much that I watched the whole series.

I was contacted by one of the production team earlier in the year, couldn't help much with their enquiries but hopefully did point them in the right direction at least. Looking forward to seeing this.
