I'm afraid I didn't keep that, but I did have this - a real blast from the past - so who in that list are still here and posting???

Lobster, some of those are funny, some of them scary.

The mugshots of contributors looks like some kind of briefing pack for a cold case review, the mix of early 2000s and late 90s hair styles makes it even better.

A reflection of life; like people you went to school with - some are still around, some are in prison and some sadly are dead.

I sometimes wonder how many that's the case of the people who I went to school with, but I've not seen or talked to anyone I went to school with for 15-20 years... but by the laws of average some of them must be (I know a couple who went to prison for going on a car smashing spree because it was in the local papers, but that's it).

I half wonder how many that's the case of the people who I went to school with, but I've not seen or talked to anyone I went to school with for 15-20 years... but by the laws of average some of them must be (I know a couple who went to prison because it was in the local papers, but that's it).

Facebook was quite useful if you wanted to have a nosey about what people you knew were getting up to.

America (or at least America as we see it in fiction) is quite hot on "school reunions", its a common plot device. Not sure how it stacks up in reality (though I suppose it does happen on occasion), but I'm not sure I could think of a worse place to be than standing around in a room wearing a stuffy shirt and tie while "reminiscing" about "things" (be they actual, hearsay or rumour) that happened 25 years previously with a group of people you didn't give a monkeys about at the age of 14 and haven't said two words to them (besides occasional "Happy Birthday" posts) in the seven years you've been friends with them on Facebook.

I don't have a Facebook account, I admit I wanted to distance myself from the people I went to school with which is partly why I never set one up.

I had a namesake at my school, and in my year who was sadly killed about 10 years after we left.

About 10 years after that I attended a school reunion. Quite a few people went white faced and silent when they saw me, I soon found out why !

Not to derail too much but seeing as you are mentioning namesakes... In one of my old jobs there was a manager there who had the same name as me. I'd never seen him before, but HR got us mixed up and there were pay problems so we were asked to both come in and give more details to help differentiate us on the system. Turns out, not only did we have the same first name and surname, but also the same middle name, same day and month of birth (he was exactly 10 years older), same eye colour, both wore glasses and had the same hair colour and style. After the meeting we went for a coffee and a chat in the break room and had a laugh about it and kept finding out what else we had in common, and turns out we were both from the same general area, went to the same primary and secondary schools and turns out were both gay! It was a very strange afternoon for sure.

He did tell me his family were quite unlucky and prone to accidents and told me about a few members who were quite ill or had died through various accidents or tragedies. Many years after I had left the job I heard through a friend who still worked there at the time that my doppelganger had been involved in a horrible car accident and was now quadriplegic.

I'll miss this randomness.
