One more time...

...things you hope someone from the forum kept so you could see it once again (March 2021)

This site closed in March 2021 and is now a read-only archive

This is my very last posting on TVF (except that it probably isn't).

I'm going to be like when BBC News 24 launched and I used to stay up to ridiculous hours of the night to watch the flags because I didn't have cable. I'm going to stay awake between now and the closing of the forum (except if I drift off).

I am really going to miss this place and I've been thinking about the 19 years I've been a member of Asa's wonderful little community.

If I could choose one thing to see again from the forum, it would be the video someone created for "TV Forum Crisis" mocking the look of News 24 at the time of Jarongate.

Does anyone still have it and, if they do, could they share it one more time, please?

What would you like to see again a final time?

EDIT: Oh and the "clean toilet" thread from the old Lounge but I think that may have been wiped after the great forum crash.

I might still have that, I’ll check my archive on my other machine in the morning. I kept a few bits from over the years.

I'm afraid I didn't keep that, but I did have this - a real blast from the past - so who in that list are still here and posting???

I recognise one or two from that list, including our very own Asa, Andrew Wood, Whataday, Rob Francis who still post here.

i think that came from the RTS forum, i can't remember, i saved a few random things, mostly just .real media files but that was in the folder, I thought i had some screenshots from the old 'TV Forum Lounge', where it regularly descended into chaos - with that being the reason it was spun out into mpl247, i'll keep digging, i've got a hdd full of files from the 1990s so it will take a while !

Thanks for sharing lobster.

As soon as I opened that document, I remembered it like it was yesterday.

I think I made a point in another thread that my memories of many forum members were formed in 2002 and 2003. How young so many of us look in that document.

It is hard to believe that 18/19 years has past but I still think of cdd, Isonstine, pete et al as being teenagers. But of course they're in the mid 30s now. I'll be 48 this year.

Here's a few more. I can't play the rm files at the moment, just spinning up a VM to see what they are, but here are some you might find amusing.

I used to be unironically obsessed with James Hall's Stephen Cole song.

Cheers lobster. That is an amazing collection and I remember nearly all of them.

The Murder She Wrote spoof was great too and I remember thinking at the time that I wish I'd been on it Sad

The TV Forum Crisis was great, especially J's mum appearing at the end!
