I'm just wondering whether they will post the full bulletin on BBCi shortly. Perhaps they wont after what happened.

Nope, the bulletin has been put online.

The text on the AV console even says "Anna Ford and Sophie Raworth present a round-up of the national and international news".

I know Mary Nightingale has said she suddenly loses her voice on occassions and fears it happening on air. Do newsreaders have a understudy on site to replace them if neccessary?

Also, on the ITV Lunchtime News Central News lost the colouring on their virtual background and had a browny-orange affect during the time Nicholas Owen "takes a breather".

LOL! the video is now online!

The hand over occurs 18mins and 40seconds into the online video for those who want to watch it!

I know, I thought it was a bit strange when he did the update. But then he said something like "Join me and Sophie at Six." and I couldn't belive it. Very Happy

The only other time when a presenter had a croaky voice and had to go, which I can remember, happened on BBC World. Nisha Pillai was on her afternoon shift, and her voice got worse and worse as the afternoon went on, and eventually packed up before the last bulletin of the shift, and Nik Gowing came on an hour early.
