Lost Sky channels & Dave on freeview

In the middle of last week the signal on Sky News, Sports News & Dave was getting a bit pixellated - wierd, as I've had perfect reception since I initially set the tv up.
Since then I now get no signal on these channels at all - just a 'No Signal' message.
Nothing has changed to the cabling etc, and I've tried rescanning; It finds the channels fine, but just doesn't show me anything.

Any idea whats going on? This is a bit of a ball ache, as the tv is practically always on Sky Sports News or Dave Sad

According to the freeview website, my transmitter is Winter Hill.

Cheers.

More a thread for DigitalSpy's forum rather than TVF, but there are some simple things you can check first:

All the leads to/from your TV/Box and the lead to your aerial.

It may sound like stating the obvious, but my Sister rang me yesterday and said she couldn't play any programmes from her Freeview+ box, even though they appeared on the menu. It was simply a loose SCART lead.

I'd rather post here than go anywhere near that apalling excuse for a website tbh.
Nothing to do with the cables etc has changed or been moved at all, which is why I ask..

More leaves appearing on trees near the aerial?

...or the aerial working itself loose during windy weather?

Theres trees around that have sprouted new leaves recently, but they're nowhere near where the aerial is. I'm pretty sure its not worked its self loose either.

ooooh, it's a misterwee!

The DS Terrestrial Technical Forum isn't that bad... (and it looks different since Monday) Shocked

Anyway, can you make sure that your TV is getting Arqiva A (the name of the multiplex broadcasting Sky News, Dave, E4+1) on UHF channel 61?

Most other possible causes have already been mentioned, but here's another one:
Some devices auto scan and may have stored e.g. Moel Y Parc's version of the multiplex (Moel Y Parc in North East Wales has a huge overlap with Winter Hill) during a period of time when reception from the other transmitter was good. Any signs of additional channels on 800+? Moel Y Parc is currently running Arqiva A at low power, but atmospheric conditions may have aided its reach.

It's not how it looks; I'm not bothered about that - it's just full of odious cretins. imho, of course..

I rescanned last night and none of the 3 channels appeared at all, scanned again immediately after and they all appeared again but with no signal again. Odd. Ah well.

The terrestrial technical forum is off the beaten track on DS, so you get less "odious cretins", unlike in Broadcasting.
Anyway, back on topic: do look at your manual tune facility and try and find the UHF channel number (should be 61), this will give us confirmation of the source transmitter. Also, if possible, ask neighbours if they are also getting such problems, this will help confirm whether the problem is close to home or not.
